Course info
In this course the teenagers will create their own stories and theatre performances, with a focus on improvisation and storytelling. We will start the course with fun team building and theatre exercises that allow the students to get to know each other in a fun way, both personally but also as performers. This will lead into different experiments with theatrical techniques that we can possibly use in our end of term performance. Depending on the desires in the group, we will either work on a manuscript in some way or improvise ourselves towards a plot, characters and finally our show.
At Copenhagen Theatre School the students use theatre as a medium to laugh and have fun, but also to help them grow as actors, individuals and team players. Through theatre, we train our self-confidence, our creativity, speaking up, being better listeners and making friends in a safe and playful environment. The school has its roots in both classical and modern storytelling with its main focus on improvisation and physical theatre.

Performances
Each term leads up to an end of term performance, where loved ones are invited into our creative space to witness a unique and comedic show!

Days & hours
On the weekends we have one course available for this age group. All theatre lessons in this course are on Sundays at 12:15. Each lesson is 2 hours and small breaks are included.

Where are courses held?
We have newly expanded our school and are therefore looking forward to hosting our courses at a bigger and more permanent venue from June 2021. Bellow you will therefore find the location of our new school:

Our classes have maximum of 9 students each at the moment, so we go on a first come first serve basis. Once we have 9 students, our class is full.
